Permodalan Darul Ta’zim (PDT) on Monday, 15 April 2019 presented RM100,000 sponsorship to Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) in Putrajaya.
The sponsorship is to enhance YKN’s temporary accommodation facilities for homeless or known as Anjung Singgah in Johor Bahru. There are five Anjung Singgah shelters across the country.
Speaking on behalf of YKN, the Deputy Prime Minister and Women, Family and Community Development Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said, out of the 7,047 homeless people who have stayed at YKN’s Anjung Singgah, 73 per cent have landed jobs and been able to successfully integrate with their communities.
A total of 13 YKN strategic partners that consist of government-linked corporations (GLC), corporate companies, higher education institutes, government agencies, monetary agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and individuals concerned about problems faced by people in need have worked together with YKN.
